These smooth, unfaceted steel-cuts were produced in France in the early 1900's. These are size "P-4" which is approximately a size 12º rocaille. Large hole, they measure 1.4mm diameter. These are the equivalent of a mini-hank, 39 inch long strand, 24 beads per inch. In brand new condition from a warehouse. Not to be compared to the loose steel -cuts which were taken from old beaded bags and used/worn. I use these in my jewelry designs, with gemstones, vintage glass, and old mixed-metals designs.
